Students who already possess a music related degree from an American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) recognized university can attain the Masters of Music Therapy Degree Equivalency Degree. This program is individualized, building on previous studies and experiences to meet requirements of the AMTA and of those of the Certification Board of Music Therapists (CBMT) for the national certification exam. Individuals completing this program will be eligible to sit for the CBMT examination. Qualified applicants will be eligible to receive the MT-BC credential.
While the graduate music therapy courses are offered fully online, MMT Equivalency students are required to attend on-campus undergraduate music therapy courses and complete in-person clinicals in the Milledgeville and surrounding communities for a minimum of four semesters.
