Elementary Education M.Ed.

The graduate program offered in Elementary at Georgia College at the T5 certification level is intended for persons who already hold or quality for a level four (T4) Georgia Teacher's certificate. The advanced level of certification is associated with the completion of the Master of Education degree program in Elementary Education. The program extends and expands the study of the development of children at an advanced level as outlined in the conceptual framework. Within the context of the master's degree program, candidates are exposed to a wide variety of information related to education and work with children with particular emphasis on, working with diverse students and their families, advocating for children in the larger professional community, and conducting action research in classrooms.

  • GPA requirement is a minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.75 from a regionally accredited university
