HIST 4700. CONQUEST AND SOCIAL CHANGE IN COLONIAL LATIN AMERICA. (3-0-3)
Prerequisite: HIST 1131 or 1132 and 3001. A survey of the interaction between Europeans and Latin American peoples from the discovery and conquest in the sixteenth century to the end of colonization in the early nineteenth century. The course will also focus on the impact of Latin America on European society.
