SECOND BACCALAUREATE DEGREE
A student, who has been awarded a baccalaureate degree, from Georgia College & State University or another accredited institution, may be granted a second baccalaureate degree provided the following conditions have been fulfilled:
- The student has met all requirements for their chosen degree.
- The student has not previously earned a degree of the type sought. For example, a student who has already earned a Bachelor of Science degree may not earn another Bachelor of Science degree, but that student may pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree.
- A student must satisfy all major requirements listed for the chosen program of study, including the senior exit requirement.
- The student must complete the legislature requirements (U.S. and Georgia History, U.S. and Georgia Constitution).
- The student must complete a minimum of 40 semester hours in residence at Georgia College & State University.
- The student must have at least 21 of the last 30 credit hours toward a degree completed in residence at Georgia College & State University at the 3000-4000 levels.
