Located on Georgia College's West Campus, the Wellness and Recreation Aquatic Center is a highlight of the facility. The Aquatic Center features two indoor pools and second-floor stadium seating. Use of the Aquatic Center is included in GCSU Student and non-student Memberships.

  • The 25 Yard Pool includes:
    • 8 Lanes for Lap Swimming
    • Diving Well
    • 1-Meter and 3-Meter Diving Boards
    • Recreational area for Water Basketball, Water Volleyball, and Water Polo
    • Swim-Meet Timing System 
  • The Leisure/Therapy Pool features:
    • Lazy River with Current
    • Spa Jets
    • Seating Area
  • Outdoor Patio accessible from Pool Deck
  • Men's, Women's, and Unisex/Handicapped Locker Rooms are accessible from Pool Deck and include day-use or rental lockers, showers, and restrooms.
General Rules and Expectations
  • A swimsuit must be worn at all times. Both one and two-piece swimsuits may be worn. Gym shorts and other athletic attire may not be worn in the pools.
  • No food or drink permitted in the pool areas. Leave all personal belongings in the locker rooms. 
  • Be considerate of other swimmers at all times!
  • Only one person allowed on the diving boards at one time. Forward dives and jumps allowed, no flipping. 
  • Do not enter the pool area if you are sick. If you begin to feel sick, nauseous, or dizzy during your time in the pool, seek help from a lifeguard immediately. 

WRC lifeguard staff has authority over Aquatic Center conduct, and use of equipment. Patrons who fail to follow rules and regulations may be given a warning. Refusal to comply with staff may result in being asked to leave the Wellness and Recreation Center. Failure to comply with requests of the staff may also result in the suspension of facility privileges.

All patrons are responsible for knowing and following the policies and guidelines stated in the User Policy Manual.

Aquatic Center Reservations

The Aquatic Center within the Wellness and Recreation Center is available for use by reservation to Georgia College Departments and Registered Student Organizations. Additional fees apply, per the GC Campus Fee Schedule. 

Outside state organizations, such as local schools, may also request Aquatic Center reservations for approved events, such as swim meets. University rental guidelines apply, including signed contracts and proof of liability insurance.  For more information regarding availability, limitations and fees please contact marie.puckett@gcsu.edu.

The Wellness and Recreation Center, including the Aquatic Center, is not available for private rental by individuals, groups, or organizations. 

Centennial Center Pool

The Centennial Center Pool is Closed for the Season. Please check back in May!

The Centennial Center Pool is typically in use from May - August. During this time, GCSU Departments and Registered RSO's may contact the Wellness and Recreation Center to inquire about pool reservations and applicable lifeguard fees. All requests must be processed through Facility Reservations.
