Foreign Language

All students seeking a BA degree must demonstrate minimum proficiency at the level of a fourth university course in one language. (See foreign language requirements in the most recent Undergraduate Catalog.)

Choose ANY courses 1000-4000 courses.*

*Some of these courses must be 3000 or 4000 level, so that you have at least 39 upper-level hours before graduation. You are encouraged to use these hours to complete a second major or a minor field of study. The number of electives depends on how many foreign language courses are taken above.

Exit Exam

As of October 2004, successful completion of ECON 4990, Senior Seminar, satisfies the exit exam requirement for ECON majors.

Complete a First year Academic Seminar (ECON 0001 or other first year academic course).
