MASTER OF EDUCATION (M.ED.) IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION (P-5) (EMPHASIZING SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT)
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The graduate program offered in Early Childhood at Georgia College & State University at the T5 certification level is intended for persons already possessing an undergraduate degree in education. The advanced level of certification is associated with the completion of the Master of Education degree program in Early Childhood Education. These programs extend and expand the study of the development of children at an advanced level as outlined in the conceptual framework. Within the context of the master's degree program, candidates are exposed to a wide variety of information related to education and work with children with particular emphasis on serving as mentors for beginning teachers, advocating for children in the larger professional community, and conducting action research in classrooms.
