Students will select a specialization in an area of professional application approved by the Department. An approved minor, research course, and practicum are required in the specialization area. Students who elect to complete a second major in the specialization area will normally take an additional semester to complete both majors.
NOTES:
- Grades of C or better are required in Area F, major, minor, and approved elective courses.
- In order to graduate, students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 and fulfill other requirements specified in the Graduation Requirements section of the Catalog.
- Signed agreement to the terms and conditions stated in the Outdoor Education Student Handbook is required for admission to and retention in the outdoor education program.
- Students are required to complete professional portfolio requirements as noted in the Outdoor Education Student Handbook prior to internship approval.
- Complete First-Year Academic Seminar with a satisfactory grade. Students who are admitted as transfer students to Georgia College are exempt from this requirement.
